Amazon Business: Enter Your Peppol ID and Receive Invoices Securely

Amazon Business can send your invoices as e-invoices via the Peppol network. Enter your Peppol ID in your Amazon Business account so they arrive directly and reliably in GetMyInvoices.

Why it is worth doing

Reliable: The e-invoice comes straight from Amazon into GetMyInvoices - no portal login required, so an expired session or a changed login process at Amazon cannot interrupt delivery.

Secure: Peppol is a closed, certified network. Invoices are transmitted encrypted and signed, and unlike email attachments, cannot be intercepted or altered in transit.

Legally compliant: Since January 1, 2025, VAT-registered businesses in Germany must be able to receive e-invoices. With your Peppol ID, you are ready.

Good to know: The Peppol ID is included free of charge in every GetMyInvoices package. Amazon's e-invoices land in the same inbox as your other documents.

Does Amazon already show a Peppol ID? Amazon Business automatically enters a Peppol ID in many accounts. It is made up of the identifier 9930 and your VAT ID, for example 9930:DE123456789. This looks as if you already had a Peppol ID - but it is not yet registered. Invoices can only be delivered to it once you register it with a Peppol provider such as GetMyInvoices. So complete Step 1 in any case.

Step 1 Register your Peppol ID with GetMyInvoices

Register your Peppol ID in just a few minutes, directly in GetMyInvoices: Activate Peppol ID .

Important during registration: When asked for an identifier, select “No” for GEBA and “Yes” for VAT ID. This is the only way to end up with the same Peppol ID (9930 + your VAT ID) that Amazon has already entered in your account. Choosing a different identifier means the two IDs will not match, and Amazon will not be able to deliver your invoices.

After the review, which usually takes 1-2 business days, you will receive a confirmation by email. You will then find your active Peppol ID in GetMyInvoices under your account name → Peppol.

Step 2 Enter your Peppol ID in Amazon Business

You will need administrator rights in your Amazon Business account for this step.

1. Sign in to Amazon Business.
2. Open Your Business and click Manage Business Account.
3. Click System Integrations.
4. Under Tax Information, next to your VAT ID, click Configure E-Invoicing.
5. Choose to receive invoices via Peppol and open the field for your Peppol ID.
   • If Amazon has already entered an ID, compare it with your Peppol ID in GetMyInvoices. If they match, there is nothing more to do.

From now on, Amazon Business will send your invoices as e-invoices to your Peppol ID, and they will appear automatically in GetMyInvoices.

Important: If the Peppol ID is wrong or not active, Amazon cannot deliver the e-invoice. So check whether your Peppol ID in GetMyInvoices is already active.

Tip: Use the same Peppol ID with your other suppliers too. That way, more and more invoices will arrive with you securely and automatically.
